 Environmental Arts
Marking the Ways
An environmental arts initiative in the Forest of Avon, Marking the Ways aims to encourage people to use parks, open spaces and woodlands close to where they live and work.
A number of public art pieces have been created to improve the local landscapes by local people and artists over the years, ranging from signs, seats and graffiti walls to paintings, photographs and sculptures.
The project is now in its sixth year and focuses on the Northern Arc area, covering Lawrence Weston, Henbury and Southmead, encouraging local people to take part.

Visiting Environmental Arts
Special environmental art pieces have been created throughout the Forest to increase peoples enjoyment and value of open spaces, woodlands and footpaths close to where they live. At the Forest we work with a wide range of artists, from painters, weavers and photographers to dancers and actors, as well as local people to tell the stories of the Forest.
Some of the arts activities over the last ten years has created public art that can still be visited and enjoyed today. A list of the best environmental arts to visit in the area is currently under construction.
