Strawberry Line

Picture of the Strawberry Line routeA 10-mile route, the Strawberry Line was built as a railway line in 1869 to carry strawberries from Cheddar. The line closed in the 1960’s, when it became part of the Cheddar Valley Railway Nature Reserve. You can get on the trail at Yatton Station Nature Reserve and pass through the varied scenery of Congresbury, Sandford and Winscombe, before the route ends at Cheddar Station.

Access

The walk has good hard surfaces for most of the way.

How to get onto the route...

The best place to start the walk is at Yatton Railway Station.
