Three Peaks Circular Trail

An idyllic countryside walk, the 3 Peaks Circular Walk covers 16.5 miles of hilly, field-footpath terrain. The route takes you around Pensford, Clutton and Chew Magna and the ‘peaks’ are Maes Knoll, Knowle Hill and Blackberry Hill – it’s reasonably challenging, although not nearly as severe as the 3 Peaks in Yorkshire! Shorter circular walks can be made by linking to other routes, such as the Community Forest Path.

Access

The trail is on field footpaths over fairly hilly terrain with a number of stiles and gates.

How to get onto the route...

The route connects a number of pretty villages in North East Somerset, which make ideal starting points for the walk. These are Chew Magna, North Wick, Norton Malreward, Pensford, Hunstrete and Clutton.
